SWEDISH MASSAGE

This style of massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic type of bodywork. Being one of the most popular styles of massage, it combines oil or lotion with several different strokes such as friction, rolling and kneading. Some of the benefits from this style would be increased circulation, enhanced mental clarity, better sleep, and relief from headaches just to name a few.

 

DEEP TISSSUE

This style of massage focuses on deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. With deep tissue massage the strokes are slower, pressure is deeper, and concentrated on areas of pain and tension.

Deep tissue massage usually focuses on a specific problems including:

• muscle tension or spasm
• chronic pain
• concentrated areas (e.g. stiff necks, low back tightness, sore shoulders)
• Fibromyalgia
